Job summary

Sealed Air is seeking a Process Engineer to analyze and develop solutions for extrusion and converting processes. You will design new processes, modify existing ones, drive cost improvements, and lead quality initiatives under the Plant Manager.

You will work with production, maintenance, and cross-functional teams to deliver value-added products. Strong communication and project management skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3-5 years of experience in Process Engineering.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, plus professional presentation and negotiation abilities.
• Experience with extrusion, printing, laminating, and converting processes.
• Knowledge of statistics and DMAIC methodology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop improved methods to deliver finished products to customers.
• Lead cost improvement projects across operations.
• Serve as technical lead for process and equipment improvements.
• Oversee equipment modifications, upgrades, and new installations.
• Collaborate with customers, TI, BU leaders, and process teams on issues and improvements.
• Stay updated on new equipment/process developments in Plastics Extrusion.
• Share knowledge with process engineers across locations.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing problems using data-driven decisions.
• Create work instructions and standardized manufacturing documentation.
• Identify and implement new methods to improve profitability.
