Job summary

Sealed Air Corporation seeks a Process Engineer to analyze and develop solutions for extrusion and converting processes, driving cost improvements and technical leadership in equipment modernization. You will work independently and with cross-functional teams to deliver value-added manufacturing improvements.

The role requires strong communication, problem solving, and the ability to manage projects across multiple manufacturing areas, with exposure to DMAIC, DOE, and Lean Six Sigma methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 5-7 years of experience in Process Engineering.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with professional presentation and negotiation skills.
• Experience with extrusion, printing, laminating, and converting.
• Knowledge of statistics and tools; DMAIC methodology preferred.
• Designed experiments, Lean Six Sigma, SPC or equivalent experience preferred.
• Self-starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement improved manufacturing methods for finished products.
• Lead cost-improvement projects to reduce operating costs.
• Act as technical lead for process and equipment improvement projects.
• Oversee equipment modifications, upgrades, and new installations.
• Collaborate with customers, business unit leaders, and other process engineering functions on process issues.
