Quanex is seeking a Senior Process Engineer in Jackson, GA to lead manufacturing process development and optimization. You will drive efficiency, quality, and productivity through advanced data analysis and cross-functional collaboration.

The role focuses on continuous improvement, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices, with opportunities to own capital equipment and SOPs across divisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• 2–5 years of process engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Proficient with process simulation software, statistical tools, and data visualization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles.
• Familiarity with process control systems and automation.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with operators and maintenance to diagnose processing issues.
• Apply advanced data analysis to identify optimization, cost reduction, and quality improvements.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and work instructions for processes.
• Lead installation and specification of capital equipment for new product manufacture.
• Provide performance specs for new equipment or enhancements.
• Guide cross-functional teams including production, engineering and quality assurance.
