Pave Talent is recruiting for a confidential client, a publicly traded specialty electronics materials leader, to scale a copper-based platform from pilot to commercial volume in San Jose, CA. The role focuses on process engineering, batch synthesis, SPC, and capital-project leadership in a regulated setting.

The position offers a base salary of $109,000 to $136,000 plus a performance bonus and comprehensive benefits, with onsite work in San Jose.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering from a four-year university.
• 5 to 8 years in a process engineering role, with 3+ years specifically in chemical synthesis, preferably in batch operations.
• Capital-projects leadership experience and the calm to drive multi-disciplinary execution.
• SPC, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement fluency.
• Comfort operating in a regulated, audited environment with strong EHS expectations.

Responsibilities

• Write SOPs for scale-up and operations that will guide the next decade of manufacturing.
• Lead batch validation and operator training as part of platform implementation.
• Oversee SPC and root-cause analysis for in-control processes; monitor quality, cycle time, EHS, and practices.
• Close out NCMR with robust root-cause discipline to prevent recurrence.
• Drive pilot-to-full-scale manufacturing transitions with documentation and reviews.
• Provide capital-project leadership across process engineering scope and create Work Instructions.
• Troubleshoot process equipment and coordinate MOC with Maintenance and Production.
