Commercial Metals in Knoxville is seeking a seasoned project manager to review proposals, determine timeframes and margins, and drive project execution across our manufacturing and construction operations.

You will prepare management reports, interact with customers about changes, manage costs to maximize profitability, and liaise between customer and internal teams. The role offers training, advancement opportunities, and competitive compensation with bonuses.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing or similar businesses
• Extensive experience managing large construction projects
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes and equipment
• Experienced with field work and understanding the customer's needs
• Proficient in MS Office programs - Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint; Microsoft Project and experience with Project Management software preferred; AutoCAD skills are a plus
• Will vary; dependent upon project requirements

Responsibilities

• Review project proposal and plan to determine time frame, funding margins, and procedures
• Prepare reports for management and/or customer
• Interact with customers based on any project changes
• Manage costs and maximize profitability; Liaison between customers and internal departments
• Occasional local site/customer office visits
• Creative thinking and problem solving abilities
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for each job
