Job summary

Hernshead Group is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to drive chemical processes from pilot through Low-Rate Initial Production to Full-Rate Production on our floor. You will lock down critical parameters, commission hardware, and eliminate bottlenecks to enable reliable, operator-run production shifts.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of industrial process-engineering experience required.
• Hands-on experience with pilot plants, commissioning, and production improvement.
• Strong understanding of process optimisation, scale-up, fluid systems and process control.

Responsibilities

• Develop and scale chemical manufacturing processes from pilot to full production.
• Establish critical process parameters, material balances, and equipment specs.
• Lead troubleshooting during commissioning and production operations.
• Identify bottlenecks affecting yield, throughput, and quality.
• Translate lessons from initial production into future designs.
• Collaborate with Chief Engineer on technical leadership across process design and scale-up.
