Job summary

Wilmington Trust is seeking a Senior Business Process Engineer for its Corporate Trust and Agency Services team in Wilmington, Delaware. This role focuses on end-to-end process redesign to boost efficiency, strengthen controls, and improve client experience, with emphasis on BPMN and Microsoft Visio.

You will map current state processes, design improved futures, develop KPIs, and drive LEAN, Six Sigma, and change management initiatives to reduce risk and cost.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of relevant work experience, or equivalent.
• Ability to document processes accurately using BPMN 2.0.
• 5 years Financial Services experience.
• Six Sigma Black Belt, Lean Certified or Agile certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define business requirements and ensure alignment with regulatory standards.
• Interview SMEs, process owners, and Division managers to identify processes.
• Assess risks, gaps, and control weaknesses; escalate issues as needed.
• Design, implement, maintain, and enhance internal controls.
• Document processes using spreadsheets, process maps, BPMN, and Visio.
• Document and map current state processes and design future state.
• Ensure documentation uses consistent templates and fits into the process architecture.
• Drive continuous improvement leveraging LEAN, Six Sigma, and change management.
• Support change management with communication, training, and implementation.
• Collaborate with enablement teams on rollout of process changes.
• Ensure official process documentation aligns with approved procedures.
• Champion process excellence to reduce costs, cycle time, errors, and risk.
• Develop and monitor KPIs/KRIs to track performance.
• Adhere to risk and regulatory standards and the company risk appetite.
• Promote the M&T Bank brand and internal controls.
