Job summary

ENERGYneering Solutions (ESI) seeks a Senior Process Engineer in Sisters, OR, or Denver, CO, to advance biogas utilization projects. You will translate complex process concepts into practical, high-performance designs and work closely with senior engineers, project managers, and O&M teams.

You will operate with significant independence, provide technical mentorship, and contribute to design standards and system reliability.

Qualifications

• This is a senior-level position requiring 10+ years of engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Petroleum Engineering from an accredited university.
• Proficiency with chemical process simulation software (Aspen, Promax).
• Valid driver’s license for state of residence.
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior technical expert in process engineering across EPC projects.
• Coordinate design interfaces and ensure alignment on process requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify gaps in design approaches and recommend improvements to leadership.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior and mid-level engineers.
• Prepare complex engineering drawings and documentation for permitting, estimating, bidding, and construction.
• Lead development and review of PFDs, P&IDs, equipment specs, and data sheets.
• Contribute to process safety reviews such as HAZOP and mitigation strategies.
• Perform advanced engineering calculations (balances, sizing, piping and reliefs).
• Support RFIs from contractors and liaison with operations to troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure high-quality, standards-compliant designs.
