Job summary

ENERGYneering Solutions (ESI), a division of TransTech Energy, seeks a Senior Process Engineer for our Denver, CO team. The role focuses on translating complex process concepts into practical, high‑performance designs while collaborating with project managers and O&M teams.

We expect 10+ years in chemical or petroleum engineering, proficiency with Aspen/BR&E Promax, and strong mentorship and communication skills. Occasional travel up to 20% is required.

Qualifications

• Senior-level and highly independent engineer.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Petroleum Engineering from an accredited university.
• Proficiency with chemical process simulation software (Aspen, BR&E Promax).
• Valid driver’s license and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior technical expert in process engineering across projects.
• Drive cross‑functional collaboration and coordinate design interfaces.
• Identify gaps in process design and recommend improvements.
• Provide mentorship to junior and mid‑level engineers.
• Prepare complex engineering drawings and documentation for permitting and construction.
• Lead development of PFDs, P&IDs, equipment specs, and data sheets.
• Participate in HAZOP and other process safety reviews.
• Perform material and energy balances and sizing calculations.
• Review contractor RFIs to maintain design intent.
• Collaborate with Operations to optimize system performance.
• Apply ASME, API, ASTM standards to ensure compliance.
• Use advanced thermodynamic/chemical analysis to refine designs.
