What We Offer
As the Senior Process Engineer, you will plan and develop manufacturing processes and method systems to meet objectives. You will also lead projects or parts of projects, and support colleagues across departments.
Major Responsibilities
- Maintain up-to-date manufacturing activities through reviews of production records, trends, quality results, and site communications. Support manufacturing areas by troubleshooting operational and quality issues. Lead or participate in Root Cause Analysis investigations to eliminate failures. Monitor material property performance to identify trends and report findings.
- Drive continuous improvement via medium to large projects. Collaborate across disciplines to define requirements, develop solutions, and ensure successful project execution. Document progress and challenges, and report to stakeholders.
- Investigate causes of production downtime using data and cross-department collaboration. Implement corrective actions to reduce outages.
- Evaluate equipment performance to identify underperformance or capacity loss. Lead investigations to determine root causes and implement improvements or capacity gains.
- Update operating procedures as part of change management. Use process knowledge and feedback to improve processes.
- Act as SME for assigned equipment and systems, guiding operations and reliability teams. Develop best practices and promote continuous improvement.
- Lead or participate in production trials, monitor processes, and document outcomes.
- Lead projects for new methods/technologies supporting digitalization and sustainability.
- Manage site production operating parameters.
- Support safety culture by ensuring safety requirements are met across materials, processes, and equipment.
- Coordinate product transfers from other facilities, documenting processing conditions and considerations.
- Assist global tech groups in developing best practices.
What You Offer
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma + 15 years manufacturing experience OR
- Associate's degree + 10 years OR
- Bachelor's degree + 5 years OR
- Master's degree + 3 years OR
- PhD + 1 year
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SQL, HTML, TypeScript, or Angular for web applications.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects.
- Organizational and process management skills.
- Proactive, self-reliant, curious, and passionate about learning.
- Experience with Root Cause Analysis, Lean Six Sigma, data analysis, and statistical tools.
- Experience with AutoCAD, process controls, HMI interfaces, and thermoplastic compounding preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills; VBA experience advantageous.
