Adesis Inc. in New Castle, DE, seeks a senior process chemist to lead scale-up and tech transfer from R&D to manufacturing, driving process development, cost optimization, supplier coordination, and regulatory compliance.

MS or PhD in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with 10+ years in chemical manufacturing is required, along with strong DoE, data analysis, and leadership across US and Ireland sites.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
• 10+ years in chemical manufacturing with a focus on synthesis, process development and tech transfer.
• Experience scaling up multi-step organic syntheses to 1000 L+ reactors.
• Strong DoE, data analysis, and process optimization knowledge.
• Sourcing chemicals/reagents for manufacturing and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Apply stage gate process to advance projects from R&D to manufacturing, meeting technical, financial, regulatory, and quality requirements.
• Lead a multi-disciplinary team of chemists, engineers, and project managers on tech transfer and scale-up.
• Review and improve product development and transfer workflows for efficiency and robustness.
• Ensure process, test methods, raw materials, and quality meet internal and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with supply chain to onboard suppliers for each project.
• Assess scalability and implement improvements for manufacturing readiness.
• Use statistical tools to evaluate process capability and product specifications.
• Provide guidance to ensure EH&S compliance throughout the supply chain and manufacturing.
