Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Sr. Research Associate, Process Development in Cambridge, MA to advance stem cell-derived therapies. The role focuses on developing and standardizing manufacturing processes and scaling them toward GMP readiness.

The candidate will perform hands-on culture and differentiation, apply qPCR and Flow Cytometry to assay development, and support technology transfer to CDMOs as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of pharmaceutical research and process development.
• Hands-on stem cell/iPSC culture and differentiation.
• Experience supporting cell therapy process development, scale-up, and tech transfer.
• Experience transitioning from research/preclinical toward GMP manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute process development studies for pluripotent stem cell-derived therapies.
• Utilize qPCR and Flow Cytometry to assess assays for scale-up and tech transfer.
• Perform hands-on human pluripotent stem cell/iPSC culture and differentiation.
• Support development of GMP-ready, robust, scalable manufacturing processes.
• Contribute to process scale-up, characterization, and potential technology transfer to a CDMO.
