Job summary

Rausch and Pausch LP (RAPA) in Auburn, AL, seeks a Senior Process Development Engineer with strong experience in manufacturing processes and automation controls. You will lead development of new production lines, coordinate with European colleagues, and drive process improvements across assemblies.

The role requires CAD/3D modeling proficiency (Creo), robust problem-solving, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment. Travel to Germany may be required.

Qualifications

• Six to eight years of experience in industrial, process and automation engineering.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Working knowledge of electrical, controls, and programming is a plus.
• Some knowledge of the German language and customs is a plus.
• Strong CAD and 3D modeling skills; Creo experience is a plus.
• Microsoft Office, Minitab, or other production software experience.
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to function in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and handle multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with project team and lead development of new processes/production lines for timely handover to series production.
• Design, create prints and 3D models, quote, install, and release to production new stations and fixtures.
• Develop process/equipment drafts and specs with German counterparts and manage machine builders.
• Create capital investment spending and manage budgets for projects.
• Assist maintenance and industrial engineering on troubleshooting when required.
• Perform process audits in line with VDA, IATF, and ISO standards.
