Job summary

SHEIN Distribution Corporation is seeking a Senior Process Design Specialist for the IE Team in the U.S. Fulfillment Network. You will drive process optimization, standardization, and lean initiatives across fulfillment operations to improve efficiency and reduce variation.

The role requires 6+ years in process engineering within e-commerce fulfillment, strong lean and data-analysis skills, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. On-site role supporting rapid growth of the US FC footprint.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
  • 6+ years of process engineering experience in e-commerce fulfillment/distribution.
  • Strong expertise in lean manufacturing, kaizen, and process mapping.
  • Project management skills with cross-functional leadership.
  • Experience with process simulation and statistical analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and map existing fulfillment processes (receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping) to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for standardization.
  • Develop and implement process optimization strategies leveraging lean methodologies to drive efficiency gains.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and integrate new processes or technologies enhancing productivity and cost savings.
  • Establish KPIs and metrics to measure process performance, throughput, quality, and cost.
  • Drive continuous improvement through kaizen events and process audits.
  • Provide training to operations staff on new processes and lean techniques.
  • Track and report cost savings and efficiency gains.

SHEIN is hiring the Senior Process Design Specialist for the IE Team. The IE team is a group of operational leaders driving process and operational system optimization, layout design, automation, and continuous improvement for the US Fulfillment Network. This team is essential to establishing best-in-class network performance across all process paths, accelerating the implementation of technological advancements, and strengthening the technical acumen and process knowledge of the operational leaders across the FC network. As SHEIN U.S. continues to rapidly grow the FC footprint and infuse the organization with new talent, we need to ensure the operations teams are equipped with the functional expertise to successfully deliver expected gains for technology advances and network-wide process improvements. The team would drive process control and shifting mean performance with the outcome of minimizing variation between shifts, buildings, and regions, to deliver strong operation performance. The team will work closely with the Site Operations, Product, Planning and Operation Management team to improve the input metrics for each of the process paths by prioritizing and channeling resources to address gaps in these input metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and map existing fulfillment processes (receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping) to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for standardization.
  • Develop and implement process optimization strategies leveraging lean methodologies (e.g. kaizen, 5S, value stream mapping) to drive efficiency gains.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and integrate new processes or technologies that enhance productivity and cost savings.
  • Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure process performance, throughput rates, quality, and cost.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on process failures and quality issues to determine corrective and preventive actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts through regular kaizen events and process audits.
  • Provide training to operations staff on new processes and lean process improvement techniques.
  • Track and report on cost savings, efficiency gains, and other process improvement metrics.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
  • 6+ years of process engineering experience within an e-commerce fulfillment/distribution environment.
  • Strong expertise in lean manufacturing principles, kaizen events, and process mapping.
  • Project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience with process simulation/modeling and statistical analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and material handling automation.
  • Excellent communication and training abilities.
  • Data-driven with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Certifications in Lean Six Sigma, PMI, or related disciplines are a strong plus.
