Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Process Design Engineer for the North American Sortation Center Engineering team to develop next-generation sortation and transportation systems and to influence both design and process engineering across NASC.

You will lead cross-functional projects with internal teams and external vendors, delivering cost-effective solutions while owning end-to-end process designs for complex material handling and robotics systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3+ years of industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing cross-functional projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate efforts to develop optimal solutions and processes for the sortation and transportation network through material flow, process design, site layout, and IP considerations.
• Collaboration with internal teams and external vendors to generate high-quality, cost-effective solutions in short timelines.
• Simultaneously manage multiple projects and tasks while effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating with internal and external partners.
• Effective communication skills, ability to execute the vision, detailed roadmap, and specific technical solutions.
• 50% travel requirement to visit sites and support projects.
