Job summary

PTS Advance seeks an experienced Senior Process Control Engineer to join its Process Control Center of Excellence. You will troubleshoot complex control issues, improve the performance and reliability of DCS-based systems, and develop strategies to enhance overall process performance.

The role centers on fiberline processes within pulp and paper mills, with frequent travel to sites across the United States. Southeast-based candidates are preferred, but nationwide applicants will be considered.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical, Electrical, Paper Science, or a related engineering discipline.
7+ years of professional experience working with DCS-based control systems, including troubleshooting, configuration, and design.
Ability and willingness to travel 50%-75%.

Responsibilities

Support manufacturing sites in maintaining safe, reliable, and efficient control systems.
Provide troubleshooting and technical support for daily manufacturing operations.
Advise operations teams on the selection and implementation of process control technologies and strategies.
Partner with local operations and process control teams to optimize existing control systems and improve process performance.
Design, program, modify, and optimize control strategies within existing DCS platforms.
Develop engineering solutions to address equipment and process deficiencies.
Serve as a technical subject matter expert on both large- and small-scale capital projects.
