Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Senior Process Control Engineer to join the Process Control Center of Excellence. You will help optimize fiberline processes across mills, design and modify control strategies, and support troubleshooting to improve safety, reliability, and performance.

This role requires 50–75% travel and a strong background in DCS-based control systems, with fiberline experience considered a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Paper Science Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience with DCS-based systems (troubleshooting, configuration, design).
• Ability to travel 50–75%.
• Fiberline/process-control experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist mills in keeping control systems operating safely, reliably, and efficiently.
• Provide troubleshooting and support of the daily manufacturing operation.
• Guide operations on selection and implementation of process control technologies and strategies.
• Work with operations and control teams to optimize current assets and performance.
• Design, program, and modify control strategies within existing control systems.
• Support large and small capital projects as a corporate SME.
