Job summary

Sable Offshore Corp. is seeking a Process Control Engineer to support the safe, efficient operation of onshore and offshore oil & gas production facilities in California.

The role covers DCS/PLC/SCADA engineering, configuration, maintenance, and lifecycle management of automation infrastructure for production operations. You will work with Operations, Production Engineering, Facilities Engineering, I&E, Maintenance, and SCADA teams to improve reliability, alarm management, and automation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• Minimum 10+ years in oil & gas operations, process controls, automation, or industrial systems engineering.
• Experience with offshore and onshore facilities preferred.
• Strong knowledge of DCS/PLC/SCADA platforms and industrial networks.
• Ability to read P&IDs, loop diagrams, and control narratives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain DCS, PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, RTUs, and industrial networks.
• Monitor and optimize production processes and facility performance.
• Troubleshoot control systems, instrumentation, and process issues.
• Configure and commission DCS control logic, alarms, and historian points.
• Develop and implement process control strategies to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Participate in startup, commissioning, and MOC processes with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure cybersecurity and compliance with PSM and offshore safety standards.
• Prepare technical documentation and coordinate with vendors and contractors.
