Job summary

Stryten Energy is seeking a Senior Process Controls Engineer to join the Automation Engineering team. The role focuses on automation ownership across equipment, data-driven improvements, and design of control panels.

You will work on SCADA/MES solutions, PID control, and equipment upgrades to improve manufacturing efficiency, uptime, and safety while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• BS in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or STEM-related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on process/manufacturing engineering experience driving operational excellence.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Analyze processes for efficiency, product quality, layout, workflow and safety improvements.
• Experience developing training/technical documents for process changes or machine modifications.
• Experience with PLCs (Allen-Bradley preferred) and Rockwell software.
• Experience with HMI/Operator Interface programming (Ignition, Wonderware, Factory Talk, GE Cimplicity, Siemens or similar).
• Strong computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, databases).
• Familiar with industrial networking (Ethernet/IP, ControlNet, DeviceNet).
• Familiar with electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems; CAD drawing packages.
• Six sigma certification is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead process improvement design and troubleshooting for automation.
• Own automation aspects of equipment and upgrades.
• Gather and analyze manufacturing data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop upgrade plans and rollout across equipment families.
• Design control panels using CAD Electrical and create full drawing packages.
• Build control panels from schematics and install modifications.
• Create PID loops for process control improvements.
• Build SCADA and MES solutions to boost efficiency and uptime.
• Develop deep knowledge of facility processes and gain trust with the team.
• Take a hands-on approach to improvements and increase equipment uptime.
• Improve production speed while maintaining quality and safety.
• Isolate key process outputs and define KPIs to track performance.
• Foster relationships with operations teams and vendors across locations.
• Grow expertise in Automation, MES, IIoT and Industry 4.0.
