Job summary

Stockhausen Superabsorber in Greensboro, NC seeks a Senior Process Control Engineer to join a world-leading manufacturer of superabsorbents. You will monitor and optimize plant control systems, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with maintenance and process engineers to ensure product quality and safety.

The role offers hands-on automation work, documentation duties, capital project liaison, and compliance with environmental permits. Candidates should have a B.S.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical or Electrical Engineering is required.
• 3+ years of chemical/plant process experience.
• Ability to plan and execute multiple duties to a strict schedule.
• High level of organization and judgement, safety awareness.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and configure plant control system network to meet productivity and product quality specs.
• Troubleshoot plant control system issues.
• Coordinate with maintenance on control system troubleshooting.
• Write and update plant control system documentation (diagrams, interlock lists, flow charts, etc.).
• Develop and implement and optimize plant operating logic.
• Technical liaison to plant personnel and process engineer.
• Ensure environmental compliance control logic and permits requirements are met.
• Support capital projects as a product liaison with engineering.
• Write and submit all required reports.
• Provide loop sheets for process instrumentation.
• Participate in overtime activities as required.

Your Responsibilities

• Monitor and configure plant control system network to meet or exceed productivity standards and meet finished product quality specifications.


• Troubleshoot plant control system issues.


• Coordinate with maintenance on control system troubleshooting.


• Write and update plant control system documentation including logic diagrams, interlock lists, sequence flow charts, database documentation, control system layout drawings etc.


• Develop and implement and optimize plant operating logic.


• Technical liaison to plant personnel and process engineer


• Review environmental compliance control logic and documentation ensures that all permits’ requirements are met through operation logic


• Product liaison to engineering department on capital projects.


• Write and submit all required reports.


• Specify, select and provide loop sheets for process instrumentation.


• Participate in overtime activities as required including down-day activities, vacation or illness coverage, or assist with additional workloads as required.


• Compliance with applicable regulations and occupational safety requirements

What You Bring To The Table
