Job summary

Stockhausen Greensboro site in the USA seeks an Indirect Sourcing Manager to lead procurement activities and optimize supplier relations. This role emphasizes cost effectiveness, contract negotiation, and supplier performance within a compliance framework.

You will oversee strategic sourcing, manage catalogs and e-procurement tools, and partner with cross-functional teams to drive savings and value. A technical degree and several years in purchasing or chemical industry exposure are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree strongly preferred (Technical Degree a plus) with 6-10 yrs purchasing experience.
• Or 15 yrs experience in chemical industry preferred if from other fields.
• Knowledge of business law, accounting principles, state tax laws.
• Demonstrate urgency, accountability, and sound decision-making to achieve goals.
• Outstanding negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Daily procurement process: review store material requisitions and convert to POs.
• Update POs, pricing, delivery dates and confirm orders; expedite as needed.
• Negotiate best payment terms and set up new suppliers per guidelines.
• Manage contractors and tier agreements; support e-procurement catalogs.
• Identify savings potential and ensure contract price compliance; support vendor prequalification.

Your Responsibilities

Operational Management

• Daily review of stores material requisitions from MRP Run
• Process requisitions to purchase orders
• Update purchase orders, pricing, delivery dates, confirm orders
• Expedite orders for stores to ensure delivery dates are being met
• Negotiate best payment terms
• Set up new suppliers based on procurement guidelines (Integrity Next)
• Manage service contractors - tier agreements
• Conduct/lead inventory review along with maintenance group

Strategic Sourcing

• Manage key supplier relationships including contract/price negotiations as it pertains to the self-assigned categories, including preparation and evaluation of the bid documents. Negotiate the optimization/extension of existing contracts and catalogs, including the generation of new contracts and catalogs.
• Negotiates purchase of goods and/or services assuring highest quality and cost effectiveness
• Ensures Stockhausen protection relative to quality management, licensing, insurance, taxes, financial stability and schedule of suppliers and contractors performing for Stockhausen
• Evaluates performance of suppliers and contractors and recommends removals and additions to the approved bidders/suppliers list as necessary.
• Manages and maintains electronic catalogs for e-procurement for total process efficiency, productivity, cost savings and contract price compliance.
• Provides training and troubleshooting for the requester user community
• Identify and document savings potential, especially in terms of sustainability and EBIT relevance
• Support compliance standards for Stockhausen policy and commercial contracts
• Support vendor prequalification process.

What You Bring To The Table

• Bachelor's or master's degree strongly preferred (Technical Degree a plus) with 6-10 yrs. Purchasing experience in a related field of expertise
• Or in other fields with focus on internal and/or external customers or a minimum of 15 yrs. experience in the chemical industry preferred
• Must possess knowledge of business law, accounting principles, state tax laws
• Demonstrate and foster by example, a sense of urgency, strong commitment/accountability, and sound decision‑making to achieve goals
