Qualifications

  • High School degree required with technical training equivalent to 1-3 years of applied trades.
  • 1-3 years hands-on maintenance experience in equipment repair or fabrication.
  • Able to score the required points on skill proficiency tests within 120 days of employment.
  • Meticulous work ethic with a high degree of self-motivation.
  • Extensive knowledge of general maintenance and fabrication detail.
  • Knowledge of machine design and be capable of assisting in troubleshooting plant equipment.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • High- level of quality and safety awareness.

  • Follow lockout, closed system entry, confined space entry, and hot work procedures per plant rules.
  • Visual and auditory inspection of plant equipment and correct issues found.
  • Perform repairs or modifications on work orders as assigned by Supervisors.
  • Install or modify new equipment as directed.
  • Notify appropriate personnel of equipment changes or modifications.
  • Fabricate or repair spare parts as needed.
  • Participate in overtime activities as required.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and fix failed components.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and safety requirements.

Your responsibilities:
  • Responsible for promoting an efficient work environment with a key focus on the employee's own safety and the safety of others.
  • Perform a wide variety of repairs, modifications or installations to equipment to maintain a reliable operating facility.
  • Perform correct procedures for 'lock out', 'closed system entry', 'confined space entry', and 'hot work' as specified in plant procedures.
  • Makes a visual and auditory inspection of plant mechanical operating equipment and corrects problems found during daily inspections.
  • Performs repairs or modifications specified on work orders as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Shift Supervisor.
  • Install or modify new equipment as assigned.
  • Keep appropriate personnel notified of changes in plant equipment or modifications to the original design.
  • Fabricate or repair spare parts as needed.
  • Participate in overtime activities as required including down-day activities, vacation or illness coverage, or assist with additional workloads as required.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and correct any failed components as well as any components that may have contributed to the original failure.
  • Compliance with applicable regulations and occupational safety requirements
What you bring to the table:
  • High School degree is required with technical training equivalent to 1-3 years of applied trades training.
  • A minimum of 1-3 years' hands-on maintenance experience in handling equipment repair or fabrication
  • Be capable of scoring the required points on skill proficiency tests within 120 days of employment.
