Job summary

Stockhausen US – Greensboro is seeking a Maintenance and Engineering Supervisor to lead safety-focused maintenance, manage budgets, and support capital projects. You will drive improvements and coordinate with engineering and maintenance teams to minimize downtime.

The role requires 5+ years in engineering (3+ years supervising) and 10+ years of maintenance experience with 5 years in supervisory roles; an Associate or Engineering degree is expected.

Qualifications

• 5 years of engineering experience with 3 years supervision of projects and maintenance.
• 10 years of maintenance experience and 5 years of maintenance supervisory experience may substitute for an engineering degree.
• Meticulous work ethic with a high degree of self-motivation.

Responsibilities

• Promote an efficient work environment with a focus on safety for personnel and surroundings.
• Maintain and control departmental expenses and regulate workload; support maintenance standards and procedures.
• Lead root cause failure analysis for problematic equipment and ensure up-to-date documentation.
• Hire, train, and promote personnel; establish training and testing requirements; support engineering capital projects.
• Develop and regulate down day and repair activities and equipment modifications to improve reliability and on-stream time.
• Upgrade site E&I systems including electrical power, control systems, lighting, and UPS systems.
• Ensure compliance with ISO requirements affecting instrumentation and E&I."
• Participate in projects and audits and ensure regulatory safety compliance."

Your responsibilities:

• Responsible for promoting an efficient work environment with a key focus on the employee’s own safety and the safety of others.
• Responsible to maintain and controlling departmental expenses and regulating workload. Supports and ensures adherence to Maintenance standards and procedures.
• Ensures Maintenance documentation remains up to date. Acts as lead in root cause failure analysis for problem pieces of equipment.
• Responsible for hiring, training, and promoting personnel. Establishes training and testing requirements for skills testing. Supports the Engineering department on capital projects as needed.
• Develop, recommend, and regulate down day and repair activities and equipment modifications to optimize equipment reliability and on-stream time. Principle contact for contract personnel working on all maintenance activities and engineering projects as needed.
• Responsible for upgrading site E&I systems including electrical power, control systems, lighting, and UPS systems.
• Responsible for all ISO requirements that pertain to planting instrumentation and the E&I department.
• Participation in projects and audits
• Compliance with applicable regulations and occupational safety requirements

What you bring to the table:

• Minimum of (5) years of working experience in engineering fields including 3 years supervision of engineering projects and maintenance activities. 10 years of Maintenance experience and 5 years of Maintenance supervisory experience may be substituted for an engineering degree.
• Must have extensive knowledge of instrumentation and electrical design and be capable of troubleshooting and re-engineering of plant equipment.
• Must have extensive knowledge of calibration procedures and plant operations.
• Associate or Engineering degree.
• Meticulous work ethic with a high degree of self-motivation
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• High- level of quality and safety awareness
