Job summary
Freeport-McMoRan Inc. is seeking a Senior Process Automation Engineer to lead engineering for site automation and cyber security.
The role focuses on improving ICS performance, maintaining process control networks, and guiding optimization initiatives in a hybrid on-site/remote environment at our Phoenix hub. You will direct engineering proposals, manage budgets, and provide technical direction to the team while ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 5+ years in Process Automation or related field; at least 3 years with regulatory and advanced control systems.
- Master's degree in Engineering with 3+ years in Process Automation or related field including regulatory/advanced control experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction for Process Automation engineering.
- Lead safety and environmental programs related to Process Automation.
- Review proposals and designs to meet site Process Automation standards.
- Oversee cyber security practices for Industrial Control Systems and manage automation life-cycle planning.
