Wellington Management is hiring a Senior Analyst for Private Equity Operations in Chicago. The role manages the private deal lifecycle—from approval to liquidity events—coordinating with Legal, Investors, Trading, Fund Services, and back-office teams.

You will analyze legal docs and monitor deal covenants while driving process improvements and overseeing private placement vendors. You will work across asset classes (private equity, real estate, evergreen, secondaries) and leverage SQL, PowerBI,

Qualifications

• 4-7 years supporting the end-to-end lifecycle of private equity, real estate, evergreen, and secondaries investments.
• Experience reviewing private investment legal documents and tracking restrictions and corporate actions.
• Knowledge of private fund structures and industry technology platforms.

Responsibilities

• Execute components of the private equity deal lifecycle, focusing on deal approval, pre/post execution, and liquidity events.
• Coordinate deal approval and lifecycle management with issuers and internal teams (Legal, Investors, Trading, Fund Services).
• Analyze legal documents (Stock Purchase, Credit, Subscription, Merger Agreements) to operationalize deals.
• Track covenants, restrictions, and position changes for new/existing deals; manage lifecycle events.
• Coordinate activities during impactful events like IPOs, corporate actions, and distributions.
• Review discrepancies on reconciliation reports to maintain investment books daily.
• Evolve processes, controls, workflows, and systems for new funds and asset classes.
• Provide timely communication to stakeholders on operational events for private placements.
• Support data needs for performance and LP reporting.
