Job summary

Wellington Management Company is seeking a Senior Private Equity Operations Analyst in Boston to manage the private deal lifecycle, execution, and ongoing operational processes. You will coordinate with Legal, Investors, Trading, Fund Services and back-office teams, ensuring accurate documentation and timely information flow.

The role requires strong technical skills (SQL, PowerBI, Tableau, Excel macros, AI) and deep knowledge of private equity assets.

Qualifications

• 4-7 years supporting the end-to-end lifecycle of private equity, real estate, evergreen, and secondaries investments, including reviewing private investment documents and tracking restrictions.
• Deep understanding of private equity concepts across asset classes including equity, real estate, evergreen, secondaries, fund of funds, and PIPEs.
• Experience with industry technology and platforms (Dynamo, EDGAR, SEC.gov, IVP, Bellwether, Geneva).
• Ability to leverage technical skills to improve operational processes (SQL, PowerBI, Tableau, Excel macros & AI).

Responsibilities

• Execute all components of the private equity deal lifecycle with focus on deal approval, pre/post execution, and lifecycle events.
• Coordinate deal approval and lifecycle processes with private issuers, internal teams, legal counsel, Investors, Trading, and back-office.
• Analyze legal documents (Stock Purchase, Credit, Subscription, Merger Agreements) to operationalize each deal.
• Track covenants, restrictions, and position changes for new and existing deals.
• Coordinate events like IPOs, restricted shares actions, SEC registrations, and distributions.
• Review and resolve discrepancies on cash/position/security reconciliations to ensure accurate records.
• Adapt and evolve processes, controls, workflows, and systems for new funds and asset classes.
• Ensure stakeholders receive timely, accurate communication for private placements.
• Support data needs for performance and LP reporting.
