Job summary

IQ-EQ in New York is seeking a Senior Manager for Private Equity Fund Accounting to oversee fund operations, financial reporting, and investor communications. You will supervise client deliverables, review complex fund calculations, and drive process improvements across multiple engagements.

You will lead audits, coordinate with tax teams, and mentor junior staff while ensuring timely, accurate reporting for top private equity clients.

Qualifications

• Five years of progressive experience in private equity, public accounting, or a mix of both within alternative asset firms.
• Strong analytical and technical skills in accounting, finance, and fund administration.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance as foundation for work.
• Consistently deliver exceptional client service, building trust and long-term relationships.
• Apply expertise to support complex fund operations and drive high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead client relationships across multiple Private Equity funds, ensuring expectations are met and timelines are followed.
• Apply understanding of limited partnership agreements to fund operations, reporting, and investor communications.
• Prepare and review key financial components like journal entries, capital calls, distributions, and IRR metrics.
• Manage audits, tax requests, and financial statement reviews while continuously improving processes.
• Prioritize tasks, respond to client requests, and train junior team members.
