Banc of California is seeking a senior relationship manager to develop and manage a portfolio of primarily private clients. You will act as lead negotiator with prospects and clients, growing revenue through interest income, fees, and cash management services.

You will provide financial guidance, identify suitable bank products, and build referral networks while structuring credits with loan portfolio managers. This role emphasizes deep relationship building and disciplined portfolio oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum twelve years of experience in sales or relationship management.
• Competence with mainframe systems, word processing, and spreadsheets.
• Knowledge of state and federal banking compliance regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a portfolio of privately held business clients, from complex credits to deposit relationships.
• Grow revenue by prospecting for new business and expanding existing client relationships.
• Provide financial advice and sell appropriate bank products and services.
• Build relationships with referral sources and centers of influence.
• Structure and underwrite credits with Loan Portfolio Managers.
• Operate computer terminals to process activity and resolve issues.
• Handle inquiries from clients and staff and direct to appropriate personnel.
• Cover department duties during staff absences or high volume.
