Job summary

Velaspan, Inc. in Allentown, PA is seeking a Senior Cellular Solutions Engineer to own design and deployment of private cellular networks within our established wireless practice.

This hybrid role blends hands-on engineering with mentoring, documentation, and process-building to scale repeatable cellular delivery across projects, collaborating with enterprise IT teams. You will leverage iBwave and RF design tools to model coverage, guide a Wi‑Fi team into cellular, and ensure successful turn‑up

Qualifications

• Experience designing and deploying private LTE, CBRS, or similar cellular networks.
• Proficiency with iBwave or comparable RF design tools.
• Ability to model and turn up networks end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and modeling of private cellular and in-building wireless systems, using iBwave and other tools to produce accurate predictive coverage and performance outputs
• Build and standardize technical documentation and deliverables, eliminating single points of failure and creating repeatable, scalable processes
• Own predictive modeling and coverage planning, shaping how projects are designed before deployment begins
• Guide and upskill a Wi-Fi-focused engineering team, helping expand their capabilities into cellular through hands-on collaboration
• Drive system configuration and turn-up, ensuring networks are deployed correctly and perform as designed in real-world environments
• Support technical scoping and solution design, contributing to how projects are defined and delivered
• Ensure strong integration with enterprise IT environments, bridging cellular networks with routing, switching, and broader infrastructure
