Qualifications

• Experienced RF design engineer with 10+ years in wireless (RF/cellular) engineering and software development.
• Proficient in using desktop design tools and GIS/BI tools.
• Strong understanding of 5G/LTE architectures, KPI tracking and macro/small cell/in-building design.
• Ability to translate non-technical requirements into actionable technical designs.

Responsibilities

• Lead RF design for macro, small cell, and in-building deployments.
• Create RF design documents (RFDS) for each market and MOPs for RF planning.
• Develop initial cell neighbor lists and coordinate with deployment vendors.
• Collaborate with external service vendors and internal deployment teams to refine designs.
• Utilize data analytics tools (Tableau/Power BI) to drive design decisions and performance insights.

Job Description

Seeking For RF Design team leader engineer with 10+ years’ experience in both Wireless (RF/Cellular) Engineering and Software development with a focus on bridging the two disciplines to come up with creative solutions for a large telecommunications company building out a cellular network.

Wireless Design Experience

• Exposure to Atoll, Planet, Overture, iBwave, Ekahau or similar desktop design tools
• Understanding of 5G and LTE network architecture and KPIs
• Experience in Macro, Small Cell, and In-Building design
• Familiarity with drive/walk testing and post-processing data
• Familiarity with crowdsourced data
• Experience in propagation model tuning
• Knowledge of RF Network Design Process and Stages – Initial, Interim, and Final market designs
• Work with Deployment team to make adjustments to design
• Creation of RFDS’ for each Market
• MOP for each RF Planning process
• Create the initial Cell Neighbor list
• Work with outside services vendors

Job Requirements

Software Experience

• Solid programming background and ability to adapt and learn new methods and languages in an ever-changing technical landscape
• Python, SQL
• Experience with Tableau, PowerBI, or other dashboarding/analytical tools
• Experience in GIS systems: Postgres/PostGIS, QGIS
• Database / Big Data: AWS Products (Redshift, Athena) or similar
• Excel / Power Query
