Job summary

Centene Corporation is seeking an experienced privacy, security, and risk/compliance leader to translate complex regulatory and contractual requirements into actionable enterprise controls. You will drive ESPRM engagement across Health Plans and Shared Services, ensure audit readiness, and continuously improve governance and documentation.

A strong track record in healthcare privacy/security is required. The role demands expert interpretation of HIPAA, CCPA/CPRA, and related laws, with focus on

Qualifications

• 7+ years privacy/security, risk, or compliance within the managed care, payer/health plan industry
• 5+ years identifying, analyzing, and communicating security or privacy control requirements in health plan operations
• Experience translating contract/regulatory requirements into control-based capabilities
• Experience interpreting and ensuring compliance with State & Federal Privacy, Cybersecurity & AI laws for healthcare payors

Responsibilities

• Lead EPSRM engagement with Health Plans or Shared Services to ensure privacy, security, AI, and business continuity requirements are understood, implemented, and monitored.
• Interpret and translate regulatory, contractual, and legal requirements into operational controls and guide stakeholders on compliance expectations.
• Validate and manage compliance evidence, deliverables, and audit readiness with regulators and auditors.
• Build relationships with leadership and regulators to remove obstacles and support consistent compliance practices.
• Track regulatory changes, assess impact, and communicate required actions for scalable control updates.
• Oversee accuracy of privacy, security, AI, and business continuity documentation and submissions.
• Drive standardized engagement processes, governance practices, templates, and continuous improvement.
• Support market entries, RFP responses, contract renewals with EPSRM expertise.
• Identify risks and gaps, recommend mitigations, improve compliance maturity.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Information Security, Information Systems, Risk/Compliance, Business, Law, or Compliance related capabilities or equivalent experience as a paralegal

Master's Degree in a related field

Juris Doctor (JD)

CISSP / CISM Certification

Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIP)
