Job summary

Solutus Legal Search client seeks a Privacy and Regulatory Counsel to join a high-performing legal team. This remote role tackles global data privacy, consumer protection, and emerging technologies, including AI, with broad business impact.

Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, you will guide governance programs, advise product teams, and navigate GDPR, CPRA, COPPA, HIPAA, and other regimes across jurisdictions while balancing risk with innovation.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
• Minimum 5 years of legal experience, including in-house experience and law firm experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. and international privacy and data protection laws (GDPR, CPRA, COPPA, PIPEDA).

Responsibilities

• Lead U.S. and international data privacy and consumer protection initiatives.
• Develop, implement, and maintain privacy policies, governance frameworks, and related compliance programs.
• Advise business and product teams on complex legal and regulatory matters, translating evolving requirements into practical, commercially oriented guidance.
