Job summary

Google LLC in the United States seeks a Regulatory and Litigation Senior Counsel and Manager, Privacy Regulatory Investigations and Enforcement to lead strategies defending the company in regulatory responses. You will define defense approaches, conduct investigations, collect and review information, and represent Google in engagements.

Ideal candidates have extensive regulatory and litigation experience, strong leadership, and a track record working with regulators.

Qualifications

• JD, LLB, or equivalent degree or practical experience.
• 10 years of attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or at a law firm.
• 7 years of experience with legal, regulatory and litigation matters, including addressing, minimizing, and avoiding regulatory risk.
• Admitted to the bar and in good standing or authorized to practice law in the relevant state.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of lawyers handling regulatory inquiries and investigations, shareholder demands, high risk regulatory litigation, and overlapping civil litigation, including privacy concerns.
• Defend privacy-related matters including audits and filing affirmative challenges to laws pertaining to privacy that we believe are legally defective or bad for users.
• Provide thought leadership and crisis management in the Privacy subject matter.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to drive strategic, efficient regulatory defense.
