Job summary

Google seeks a Regulatory and Litigation Counsel, Privacy to join a global team addressing data incidents, regulatory risk, and privacy compliance. You will collaborate with Global Affairs, Product Areas, and internal teams to ensure responsible handling of information and regulatory readiness.

You will lead incident responses, coordinate regulatory inquiries, and engage with regulators while working with cross-functional partners to balance legal obligations with product priorities.

Qualifications

• JD or equivalent degree.
• Admitted to the bar or in-house status in the state of employment.
• 7 years of attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or at a law firm.
• 7 years of experience with legal, regulatory and litigation matters, including addressing, minimizing, and avoiding regulatory risk.

Responsibilities

• Lead responses to data incidents and consult on regulatory inquiries, investigations, litigation, enforcement actions, and civil matters.
• Oversee collection and production of accurate information in external submissions and disclosures.
