Job summary

SHEIN is seeking a Senior Privacy Operations Analyst to lead global privacy initiatives across our operations in Los Angeles and beyond. You will oversee assessments, policy development, incident response, and rights requests while collaborating with legal, security, and engineering teams.

The role requires 3–5+ years in privacy operations, strong knowledge of GDPR/CCPA, and certifications such as CIPP, CIPM, or CIPT are a plus. A competitive base salary and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Job Responsibilities

Privacy Operations Management

• Lead privacy impact assessments and data protection compliance initiatives across global operations;
• Monitor and ensure adherence to privacy regulations including GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable data protection laws;
• Develop and maintain privacy policies, procedures, and documentation for operational compliance;
• Coordinate cross-functional privacy reviews for new products, services, and business processes;

• Conduct privacy training programs for employees and stakeholders;
• Oversee data subject rights requests processing and response coordination;
• Implement privacy by design principles in operational workflows and system integrations
• Perform regular privacy audits and compliance assessments across business units;
• Collaborate with legal, security, and engineering teams on privacy-related initiatives.

• Prepare privacy compliance reports for senior management and regulatory bodies;
• Stay current with evolving privacy regulations and industry best practices;
• Support vendor privacy assessments and third-party data processing agreements;
• Participate in cross-departmental projects requiring privacy expertise.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Information Security, Business Administration, or related field;
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in privacy operations, data protection, or compliance roles;
• Strong knowledge of global privacy regulations including GDPR, CCPA, PIPEDA, and emerging privacy laws;
• Professional privacy certifications such as CIPP, CIPM, or CIPT strongly preferred;
• Experience with privacy management platforms and data mapping tools;
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration;
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment;
• Experience with incident management and regulatory reporting processes;
• Understanding of technical concepts related to data processing and system architecture;
• Bilingual in Chinese and English preferred.

Pay Transparency

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $110,000 - $140,000 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role is eligible for additional discretionary annual bonus.
