CVS Health is seeking a Lead Data Privacy Engineer to advance enterprise privacy engineering and data protection across data environments. You will drive strategy, design scalable PETs, and collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and Engineering to enforce privacy-by-design across the organization.

The role emphasizes risk assessments, governance, and automated privacy solutions to protect PHI/PII while enabling responsible use of data at scale within CVS Health.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Privacy/Engineering with GDPR/CCPA/HIPAA experience.
• 5+ years deploying data protection capabilities (encryption, tokenization, DLP, PETs).
• 5+ years developing in Python, Java, Go, or similar.
• 5+ years in cloud-native/DevSecOps with CI/CD and IaC.
• 3+ years leading cross-functional privacy initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise data protection and privacy engineering capabilities across structured and unstructured data.
• Design and deploy Privacy Enhancing Technologies (PETs) including encryption, tokenization, anonymization, DLP.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, legal, compliance to embed privacy-by-design principles.
• Conduct privacy risk assessments and threat modeling to identify and mitigate risks.
• Drive governance, privacy metrics, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
