Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Lead Data Privacy Engineer to advance enterprise privacy engineering and protect sensitive data across data environments. You will drive strategy, design, and scalable PETs such as encryption and tokenization, partnering with Cybersecurity, Engineering, Data, Product, Legal, and Compliance teams.

You will shape privacy governance, risk assessments, and automated controls, enabling secure data use while supporting regulatory obligations across GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA/CPRA.

Qualifications

• 7+ years advancing Privacy Engineering, Security Engineering, Data Protection, Cybersecurity, or related disciplines.
• 5+ years designing and deploying enterprise-scale data protection capabilities.
• Strong software engineering foundation with 5+ years developing, integrating, and automating solutions using Python, Java, Go.
• 5+ years operating within cloud-native and DevSecOps environments.
• 3+ years leading cross-functional privacy initiatives across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy and implementation of enterprise data protection and privacy engineering capabilities.
• Design, deploy, and optimize Privacy Enhancing Technologies (PETs) and DLP.
• Partner with engineering, product, legal, compliance, and cybersecurity teams to embed privacy-by-design.
• Conduct privacy risk assessments, impact assessments, and threat modeling.
• Drive governance, metrics, automation, and continuous improvement."
