Qualifications

• 12+ years of legal experience, with 5+ years in-house privacy and/or product counseling experience.
• Experience with global privacy laws and regulators, including Europe.
• Strong drafting and plain-English writing skills.
• Experience engaging with regulators and regulators in Europe.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across time zones and with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support Reddit's global privacy compliance program and provide counsel to meet legal obligations.
• Advise product and engineering teams to design and implement privacy controls.
• Lead interactions with government and regulators on privacy and data protection matters.
• Serve as the privacy subject matter expert within the legal team and maintain consistency in counseling.
• Collaborate with technical teams to investigate privacy issues and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Promote Reddit's privacy-focused approach internally and externally.
