Job summary

Reddit is seeking a senior attorney to lead the privacy function, oversee the privacy compliance program, and handle regulatory inquiries globally. You will drive scalable privacy processes and counsel product, engineering, and legal teams.

You will act as the privacy SME, coordinating with regulators and internal stakeholders across time zones, and ensuring alignment with US and international privacy laws. This role is remote within the United States.

Qualifications

• JD or equivalent law degree with bar admission.
• 5+ years in-house privacy or product counsel preferred.
• Experience implementing privacy programs across jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Lead Reddit’s global privacy compliance program and provide counsel on obligations under US, EU, and other frameworks.
• Design and maintain privacy policies and processes with product/engineering teams.
• Manage regulator discussions, disclosures, and readiness initiatives.
• Serve as the privacy subject matter expert across the legal team.
• Advise technical teams on privacy and security compliance issues.
• Be a strategic, proactive legal partner with high EQ and collaboration.
• Advocate for Reddit’s privacy-focused approach across the company.
