Job summary

Reddit seeks a senior attorney to lead the privacy program and manage the privacy compliance function globally. You will oversee responses to regulatory inquiries and build relationships with industry bodies.

A successful candidate will be passionate about privacy and process at scale in a fast-changing environment. You will manage external and internal privacy policies, work with product and engineering teams to design privacy controls, and lead regulatory discussions across multiple

Qualifications

• JD or equivalent law degree and US licensure.
• 12+ years of legal experience, including 5+ years in-house privacy/product counseling.
• Experience implementing a privacy compliance program in a fast-paced product environment.
• Familiarity with global privacy laws and industry guidelines for tech platforms.
• Strong drafting and concise writing skills.
• Experience engaging with regulators, especially in Europe.

Responsibilities

• Lead Reddit’s global privacy compliance program and advise across legal teams.
• Design and maintain privacy policies and processes; collaborate with product/engineering teams.
• Manage regulator discussions, disclosures, and readiness efforts.
• Be the privacy subject matter expert ensuring consistent guidance across teams.
• Partner with technical teams to investigate privacy and security issues for compliance.
• Act as a strategic, proactive legal partner with high EQ and cross-functional impact.
• Advocate for Reddit’s privacy-focused approach internally and externally.
