Lumen is seeking a senior privacy attorney to serve as the primary legal contact for privacy and procurement matters. You will advise on data processing agreements, privacy assessments, and AI governance in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a J.D., active US bar license, and 5–8+ years of privacy law experience at state, federal, and international levels. Collaboration with IT, product, and data science is essential.

Formación

• Passion for data privacy and privacy experience.
• J.D. from an accredited law school with active license in good standing in the US.
• 5–8+ years of legal privacy experience with state, federal, and international laws (GDPR, CCPA).
• Experience drafting/negotiating data processing agreements and SCCs.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical, communication, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage high-volume, time-sensitive matters independently.
• Proactive issue identification and solution implementation.
• Business acumen for risk management and compliance.

Responsabilidades

• Provide legal advice on data processing agreements with suppliers, partners, and customers.
• Review privacy impact and data transfer assessments; advise on safeguards.
• Develop and deliver privacy training to teams and management.
• Review law enforcement requests for Personal Information; ensure sufficiency.
• Collaborate with Trust & Safety on Transparency Reports and privacy program.
• Draft and update privacy documentation in line with evolving laws.
• Lead investigations into Personal Information incidents.
• Support maturation of a comprehensive privacy program for Lumen.
• Advise on AI governance and regulatory compliance for AI/ML use.
• Collaborate with IT, product, and data science to address AI-related risks.
• Coordinate with Government and Regulatory Affairs on privacy requirements.
• Help implement company policies for ethical, compliant AI use.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
