Lumen is seeking a senior privacy attorney to serve as a primary legal contact for privacy matters within the Trust & Safety and Procurement teams. The role requires JD, active US bar license, and 5–8+ years in privacy and data protection, including drafting data processing agreements and handling cross‑border data transfers.

You will advise on privacy program maturation, conduct impact assessments, and provide guidance on AI governance to ensure compliance with evolving laws and standards while

Qualifications

• Passion for data privacy with experience in privacy and data protection laws.
• Ability to draft and review transactional documents, including data processing agreements and SCCs.
• Strong analytical, written and oral advocacy skills with client management experience.
• Experience advising on privacy programs, risk assessments and law enforcement requests.

Responsabilités

• Provide legal advice on data processing agreements with third‑party suppliers, partners, and customers.
• Review privacy impact assessments and data transfer assessments; advise on additional protective measures.
• Develop and deliver privacy training to teams and management.
• Review law enforcement requests for Personal Information and assess legal sufficiency.
• Collaborate with IT, product, and data science to address AI/ML governance risks and regulatory compliance.
• Support development of company privacy policies and procedures aligned with evolving laws.
