Job summary

American Electric Power in Tulsa, OK (also in Corpus Christi, Abilene, San Angelo) seeks a Transmission Construction Planner Senior SG7 to lead construction sequences for transmission lines and stations. You will coordinate with stakeholders to optimize outages and manage multiple capital projects on-site.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management/Engineering (or related) and 8+ years of relevant experience, with strong skills in P6, one-line diagrams, and Microsoft

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field with eight years of experience; OR ABET-accredited Engineering Technology with ten years; OR Associate degree with twelve years; OR high school with fourteen years in construction/field operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop safe, efficient construction sequences for transmission facilities.
• Supervise field teams and coordinate with project stakeholders.
• Read and interpret one-line diagrams and switching diagrams.
• Lead construction plan reviews and outage scheduling with Work Scheduling Teams.
