Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems seeks a Senior Principal Test Engineer for the AVE-IATC (TP&E) team in Roy, UT to develop and execute test plans for Sentinel (GBSD). You will coordinate cross-functional teams and lead tests to verify hardware and software integration under DoD protections.

The role requires DoD Secret clearance, 8+ years with a Bachelor’s, and strong leadership in test campaigns with customer-focused delivery. The schedule is 9/80 with potential overtime and bonus consideration.

Qualifications

• 8+ years with Bachelor's in Science or 6+ years with Master's; 4+ years with PhD
• US Citizenship with active DoD Secret Clearance
• Ability to obtain SAP approval
• Experience with HW/SW system integration
• Experience developing and executing test plans and TRRs
• Experience generating ConOps and test data analysis
• Proven leadership of test campaigns
• Strong communication across all organizational levels

Responsibilities

• Translate customer requirements into test solutions considering schedule and cost
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules
• Review test requirements for completeness
• Coordinate with SMEs and test teams to define objectives and risks
• Support instrumentation for Hardware-in-the-Loop testing
• Identify test support needs and coordinate with design teams
• Oversee test activities for verification and validation
• Lead test readiness reviews and safety reviews
• Prepare Test Planning Team charters and support Test Plan Working Groups
• Coordinate with Quality to review major test amendments
