Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Roy, UT seeks a Senior Principal Test Engineer to lead AVE on-board test equipment activities for the Sentinel program. You will define test requirements, develop test plans and procedures, and execute integration and test activities for vehicle-level checkout.

Responsibilities include coordinating hardware and software testing across teams, preparing TRRs, analyzing data, and ensuring documentation and configuration control are maintained.

Qualifications

• Active DoD security clearance (Secret) required or ability to obtain.
• Experience developing test plans, procedures and reports (functional testing and checkout).
• Experience with Range Safety and off-site test facilities.
• Experience with software/hardware testing.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interface with multiple teams and customers.

Responsibilities

• Define test requirements and objectives using systems engineering principles.
• Develop integration and test documentation (plans, procedures, reports).
• Prepare for and execute Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs).
• Execute integration, test and assembly of AVE for developmental flight testing.
• Integrate hardware from sub-systems and interface with other teams.
• Interface with software developers and systems engineers for integration.
• Participate in technical exchange meetings with customers.
• Perform data analysis against requirements for each build.
• Compile data and define changes to test equipment and procedures.
• Maintain test equipment documentation and configuration management.
