RTX is seeking a Senior Principal Systems Engineer to join the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SETC) discipline, supporting LTAMDS and GhostEye Radars. You will help the full lifecycle from concept to deployment, collaborating across disciplines to troubleshoot issues and analyze data.

You will develop requirements, lead testing, and integrate hardware and software in tactical systems. The role offers on-site work with travel and a focus on secure, mission-critical defense programs.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with systems software, systems hardware, systems requirements, systems integration, and/or systems test.
• Experience developing both scripts and functions with MATLAB

Responsabilités

• Core Systems Engineering: Develop requirements and algorithms, concepts of operations, and define system interfaces.
• Lead Testing Efforts: Develop and implement test plans, procedures, integration, and verification documentation in both simulated and real‑world environments.
• Troubleshoot and Analyze: Identify and resolve hardware, software, and system issues through detailed data analysis and debugging.
• Modeling and Simulation: Develop and execute models to predict system performance and support verification and validation.
• Integrate Systems: Integrate hardware and software into tactical systems, evaluating their functionality and impact.
• Document and Communicate: Develop integration documentation, execute plans, analyze data, verify requirements and effectively communicate results to leadership and stakeholders.
• Perform Data Analysis: Conduct statistical and numerical analysis of radar performance data to ensure optimal system performance and verify requirements.
• Present Findings: Present technical findings and solutions to leadership and customers.
• Support Missions: Travel as needed (up to 20%) to support mission execution at various locations including local RTX facilities, test sites, vendor facilities, and customer locations.
