Northrop Grumman’s Defense Systems sector is seeking an experienced Sr. Principal Systems Engineer for the Payload Re-entry System (PRS) on the Sentinel Program, based in Roy, UT.

You will perform requirements analysis, contribute to system integration and verification, and support lifecycle activities from concept through disposal. The role requires active DoD Secret clearance with SAP eligibility, 3+ years MBSE tool experience, and strong skills in systems engineering, verification planning,

Qualifications

• 8 Years with Bachelors in STEM; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD.
• Active U.S. Government DoD Secret clearance with SAP eligibility.
• Minimum 3 years MBSE tools experience.
• Minimum 4 years Core Systems Engineering (Requirements, Architecture, Interfaces, Verification).
• Minimum 1 year with DOORS, Cameo, MagicDraw, UML, SysML.
• Minimum 1 year interfacing with suppliers or government customers.
• Minimum 1 year experience in requirement verification planning.
• Experience with environmental qualification test plans for aerospace/defense.

Responsibilities

• Perform requirements analysis and develop data for verification.
• Participate in planning, integration, verification and risk analyses.
• Apply engineering principles to design components and systems.
• Verify designs via modeling, testing, and performance analysis.
• Support all lifecycle phases from concept to disposal.
• Develop BOEs for systems engineering functions.
• Decompose high-level requirements into lower levels.
• Own environments for equipment and document environmental data.
• Support design reviews and test procedure development with vendors.
• Review COTS for environmental compliance and delta testing.
• Witness tests and approve ESS procedures.
• Support MRB/FRB during testing and screening events.
• Develop and review requirements, verification methods, and plans.
• Investigate issues to assess impact on requirements and criticality.
• Coordinate with REs and System Test for readiness.
• Interface with vendors and customers.
