Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer / Sr Principal Systems Engineer for the Payload Re-entry System (PRS) on the Sentinel Program, based in Roy, UT. The role requires active DoD Secret clearance and MBSE proficiency, with responsibilities spanning requirements analysis, system integration, and verification across mechanical, electrical, and integrated systems.

The position offers the opportunity to influence lifecycle phases from concept through disposal, with collaboration

Qualifications

Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance required, current and within scope
MBSE experience and tools usage as part of systems engineering lifecycle
Experience in requirement verification planning and test planning
Interface with customers and suppliers for program execution

Responsibilities

Perform requirements analysis, develop source data for requirements, generate requirements verification, and help prepare test plans and procedures
Participate in technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for mechanical, electrical and integrated systems
Apply engineering principles to design components and systems using applicable standards and specifications
Verify specifications and designs through modeling and simulation, test data processing, and performance analysis
Support all phases of the systems lifecycle including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal
Develop Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for the systems engineering function
Interface with United States Air Force Customer
