Job summary

RTX Corporation in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Senior Principal Systems Engineer to serve as the LRSO Production program Lead Systems Engineer, driving production success and cross-disciplinary integration across teams.

You will guide technical direction, mentor early-career engineers, and collaborate with customers, government partners, and Raytheon leadership to deliver innovative production solutions aligned with program objectives.

Qualifications

Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred).
Raytheon Level 4 Certified Lead Systems Engineer or higher is required.
Experience leading transition to production or production of complex system architectures.

Responsibilities

Provide technical program status and guidance to IPTs/CPTs to ensure program alignment and teamwork.
Coordinate with program customers, government organizations, industry partners, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Rapidly assimilate and apply knowledge across diverse technical fields to achieve balanced system performance.
Interpret customer requirements and decompose into actionable direction for the Raytheon program team.
Identify and mitigate risks balancing technical capabilities with execution goals.
Support capture of new business and influence roadmaps reflected in planning and execution.
Plan and lead incremental upgrades and system improvements.
Contribute to Failure Review Boards, FRACAS, and other continuous improvement activities.
Serve as the key source of system knowledge including design, performance, and operational considerations.
Engage with customers in regular meetings and leadership briefings.
