Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer in Cedar Rapids. This onsite role focuses on secure subsystems, cross-domain tech, and cryptographic products to support warfighters in multi-domain battlespace.

The candidate will lead analyses, system integration, and verification activities, leveraging DOORS/CAMEO and languages like Rust and Python. A U.S. citizenship and secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Requires a STEM degree and 8+ years of experience, or an advanced degree with 5+ years of experience.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued secret security clearance required before start.
• Experience with hardware and software integration, verification & validation testing, and qualification testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis, architecture, and design across total system product from concept to disposal.
• Translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications via decomposition and verification criteria.
• Lead system integration, verification & validation, cost and risk analyses for total system solutions.
• Support bid and proposal efforts.
